Today we learnt how they make Silver 925 & 950 by mixing the pure silver with a small percentage of copper to make a more durable and long lasting metal. At this shop, they also hand cut the various semi-precious stones in-store, attach them to the silver design, and then polish it for a gorgeous quality shine. She showed is the difference between the initiation pieces found for very low price at street markets and the difference in color of stone and metal is uncanny. Silver 925 is the kind of metal we use in our semi-precious stone bracelets to hide the closure, as well as add a nice finishing detail. It does not turn your skin black or green like cheap silver does. It was very cool to see you the stone shaping process in person 💎💎
